Leadership trends

The Fourth Industrial Revolution demanded that CEOs take responsibility for the massive transformation of their businesses and for the astonishing impact that this transformation will have on the wider society and all the stakeholders. Success requires CEOs to develop the right leadership capabilities, workforce skills, and corporate cultures to support digital transformation and become agile to face the many uncertainties. A revolution in skills and a transformation of organizations is highly needed to sustain one’s presence in the marketplace.

According to blessingwhite.com, those who take into account individual values and personal differences while creating an environment of shared responsibility create a place where individuals enjoy work more and become more productive. Hence, the leadership trends that support transformation in the market and the economy are the following:

  • Coach and be ready to be coached: employees rely on the support of their companies to take on business challenges. Empowering employees makes them more innovative and intrapreneurial in addition to increasing their sense of belonging to the company. Empowerment should be preceded by delegation of authority.

Coaching should be purposeful and focused to enhance productivity. Being ready to be coached is rooted in the concept of being a lifelong learner to keep pace with the new trends of one’s profession. Leaders who seek and are open to feedback will be better positioned to gain the commitment and enthusiasm of the employees they lead.

  • Realize it is a millennial and Generation Z world: millennials make up 50% of the workforce. According to the data obtained from the LinkedIn survey, the number one reason millennials change jobs is to advance their career, followed by compensation and the desire for more challenging work and roles that are a better fit for their skills and interests. Research shows that millennials want to be challenged and are willing to work hard. They are positive, creative, optimistic and forward-looking. At the same time, they come with some pretty strong ideas about work/life balance, company values, and career expectations.

They are also a generation for whom a remote work environment and wearable technology are the norm. Leaders have to adopt a collaborative mindset to get the commitment of millennials and Generation Z cohorts. This generation is personally driven to seek education and professional development to increase employment opportunities in a world economy hit by many crises.

  • Create and leverage on a diverse work environment: Inclusive leadership must become part of the DNA of an organization. This kind of leadership surpasses tolerance and acceptance of others’ differences; it is about creating an inclusive workplace where employees representing all dimensions of diversity can thrive. Catalyst’s research identifies four core skills of inclusive leaders known as “EACH Mindset”.

EACH stands for:

a. Empowerment

b. Accountability

c. Courage

d. Humility Organizations like Catalyst have been able to demonstrate that there is an increased return on equity for businesses with more women and minorities in their executive levels. In addition, the research also shows that the more included employees feel, the more innovative and productive they are.

  • Vertical development, ownership development, and collective development: Vertical development refers to the advancement in a person’s thinking capacities. The outcome of vertical stage development is the ability to think in more complex, systemic, strategic, and interdependent ways. This comes in contrary to horizontal development, which is the development of new skills, abilities, and behaviors.

Horizontal development is most useful when a problem is clearly defined and there are known techniques for solving it. Due to the uncertainties controlling the business environment, vertical development has gained more momentum.

Ownership development: People develop fastest when they feel responsible for their progress and are involved in decision making and planning regardless of their position in the hierarchical structure of the company.

Collective Leadership: According to Simmons & Weinrich “[g]aining everyone’s participation is essential to a team’s success. Without an individual’s participation, the unique skills, talents, experience, and knowledge he/she brings to the team will be wasted.”

Factors Contributing to Better Collective Leadership

  • Open flows of information
  • More flexible and flatter hierarchies
  • Distributed resources
  • Distributed decision-making
  • Less centralization and control

Distributed leadership:

Distributed leadership can be considered to include shared, democratic, dispersed, and other related forms of leadership. It is a leadership style where leaders can emerge and exercise the power of knowledge wherever they are in the organizational chart. There are three premises of distributed leadership:

  1. Leadership is an emergent property of a group or network of interacting individuals
  2. There is an openness to the boundaries of leadership
  3. Varieties of expertise are distributed across the different levels of the organizational chart. Leaders might emerge based on the need of their expertise and how such expertise might be of impact

With the change in the pace of work, the impact of ever-changing technology, shifting demographics, increased environmental ambiguity, complexity, and uncertainty, being a leader is more challenging than ever before. Good leaders understand these trends and equip themselves with the skills required to embrace them. Effective leaders are characterized by being visionaries, a trait that leads to seizing opportunities and developing products and services to satisfy needs and wants not attended to by competitors. Leaders contribute to the competitive advantage sought by their corporations.

The environment and context of leadership have changed, becoming more multifaceted, unstable, and unpredictable. Because of these changing trends, a leader’s skills are more demanding in the sense of having more complex, adaptive thinking abilities and being vertically developed. With the new form of economy and the advent of information technology, more individuals now have the chance to show and exercise their leadership abilities to reach higher positions in the organizational chart or start their entrepreneurial ventures.

  1. This article can be used as a “brochure” that summarizes the clues in leadership. Initially the author foucussed on two main issues to maintain success and sustain presence in the market place which are revolution in skills and transformation of organization. this cannot be actualized without involving individuals who have the right leadership capabilities. to be a successful leader means to apply certain leadership trends that are mentioned in this article. All the trends that are mentioned can be considered as standards in leadership. However, some of them can be described as more realistic in application. For example:

    * The importance of empowering employees that should be proceeded by delegation of authority. Without this authority, the leader’s decisions will not be taken seriously by employees.
    * The mixture of millennials and generation Z is most beneficial for any company. The professional leader should rely on the millennials who are the source of “some pretty strong ideas” and on generation Z who master the use of technology.
    * The importance of creating an environment that includes diversity which promotes employees to be innovative and productive. To be an inclusive leader means to be perfect in four skills: empowerment, accountability, courage and humility.

  2. A true leader is someone who cares about individual values and personal differences to create a more productive work atmosphere, and create a diverse work environment that benefits everyone. In addition, the leader is the one who realizes that he deals with the millennial generation characterized by positivity, interaction and insight into the future. They are looking for education and professional development, so the leader must have a cooperative mentality in order to agree with the millennium generations. Besides, the leader is the one who realizes that development at work occurs through vertical development, ownership development and collective development. The leader has the ability to think in more systematic and strategic ways, and he develops individuals and makes them feel their importance in making decisions, which develops their sense of responsibility, as he realizes the importance of everyone’s participation. Finally, a leader is a professional person who has special abilities that help him motivate individuals to achieve common goals and success.

  3. Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes. —Peter Drucker
Leadership is the ability to guide and influence followers. A Leader sees the ray of light in pitch black darkness and leads the followers towards it. A Leader is a problems solver, where the core aim is to tackle problems and minimize their future occurrence. A leader ensures that all followers understand, embrace, and work toward achieving the goal on sight.
Because life is constantly developing, a good leader must continually stay current and grow his leadership skills. Being a leader is not simple since it requires a lot of effort on one’s own self and talents in order to be able to lead individuals with various perspectives and mentalities.
It is critical to understand that a leader must be a coach while also being willing to receive coaching guidance, i.e., he must be open to debates and not have his mind closed. A good leader must also grasp the millennial work system because young workers are the future, and a successful leader must help them in order to bring out the best in them. Also, leadership comes in many forms, and the leader must be able to use each one in its proper context. I learned a lot about leadership from this article, and in my opinion the leader must be that one person in the group who has that keen eyesight needed to guide the group throughout the mission towards the establishment’s vision.

  4. Nothing makes the marketplace a joyful environment to carry out responsibilities more than skilled leadership trends. Being guided and coached, employers become more willing to challenge other companies for productive results. This is to be followed by empowerment. The entrepreneurial quality increases their willingness to the organization the more this empowerment is heralded by delegation of authority. Leaders however must always welcome feedback to gain their employees trust and commitment. Millennial who are in constant battling for change, creativity, and positivity, must always be recognized by leaders for their valuable ideas and expectations. Since it is all about mindset, leadership has to concede that the more it practices collaborative mindset, the more chances for Generation Z to employ their education into new developments in a world of technology and economic crisis. The EACH mindset is an inclusive leadership that embodies diversity and surpasses tension at the workplace. It is the abbreviation for empowerment, accountability, courage and humility. The last core skill symbolizes the equity for women and minorities in the business field. Developments in the workplace are divided into vertical development which is the ability to overcome critical situations, horizontal development which is about new skills and behaviors, owner development which shows a high sense of progress depending on the degree of involvement in making a decision despite the hierarchical position of the employee. Without the participation of the employee there is no success to the company according to collective leadership. The latter is attributed with factors that enhance its role such as distributed decision-making and resources, flexibility and less domination in the workplace, and finally the emerging of information. On the other hand, distributed leadership is a style of exercising power of knowledge in an organizational chart. The three principles for this leadership are the emerging property for interactive purposes, openness, and varieties of expertise across the organizational chart.
Leaders are invincible when they are more visional and skillful in snatching opportunities in a constantly changing economic environment. They contribute to the competitive advantage of their organizations.

  5. Leadership is the ability to develop a vision that motivates others to move with energy, and commitment toward a common goal. It’s a set of skills and abilities that can be strengthened if we have the desire and passion. “Only three things happen naturally in organizations: friction, confusion, and underperformance. Everything else requires leader ship.” Peter Drucker. This quote illustrates the significance of leadership management in an organization. So it’ a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective, and leads the organization to be more productive. With the continuous change in the business environment nowadays, leaders must be acknowledged to adapt to the transformation in their workplace, and to face any crisis. To be a good leader, one should understand his /her own capabilities and others capabilities, and convince employees that one is worthy of being followed. As mentioned in the article, leaders who create a work place where individuals and diversity are valued, and appreciated, as well as employees who are engaged in decision making are actually creating an environment where employees have the sense of belonging that encourages them to hold greater responsibilities. In addition, leaders have to be authentic, accountable, and excellent communicator to achieve extraordinary results.

  9. It is the job of a company’s leaders to provide guidance to its employees. It is important for employees to know where the firm is headed and who they should follow to get there, as well. Showing employees how to do their jobs well and checking in on their progress is an important part of leadership. Leaders must set an example for their employees by being enthusiastic about their work and eager to learn new things. They must also be willing to assist in both individual and team activities. An empowered workforce is more creative, and they have a greater sense of belonging in the organization. Delegation of authority should precede empowerment. To increase output, coaching should have a clear objective and a specific audience in mind. Being open to coaching stems from the idea that one should be a lifelong learner who stays abreast of the latest developments in one’s field. People who work for leaders who actively seek and welcome feedback are more likely to share that passion and excitement with those they supervise. 50% of the workforce is comprised of millennials. There are several reasons why young people move employment, but the most common is advancement in the workplace, followed by salary and the desire for more demanding work and responsibilities that are more in line with their abilities and interests. According to a study, millennials are looking for a challenge and are prepared to put in the effort. They are enthusiastic, innovative, and forward-looking in their outlook. Work/life balance and business values are important to them, but so are career expectations. An organization’s culture must include inclusive leadership practices from the outset. Tolerance and acceptance of others’ differences are not enough for this sort of leadership. It is about establishing an inclusive workplace where individuals from all dimensions of diversity can thrive. Four fundamental competencies of inclusive leaders, termed as “EACH Mindset,” have been identified through Catalyst study. EACH represents empowerment, accountability, courage and humility organizations. Vertical development is a term used to describe the development of a person’s thinking abilities, as well as an individual’s ownership of their thoughts. An important result of vertical stage growth is the ability to see the world in a more holistic and interrelated way. This is in direct contrast to horizontal development, which involves the acquisition of new skills, abilities, and behaviors. While horizontal development is when a problem is well defined and a solution is well established it is the best approach. Vertical development has gained momentum because of the business environment’s uncertainty. Leadership has several styles, Ownership development, when People grow the fastest when they feel in control of their own progress and are actively involved in decision-making and planning processes, regardless of where they sit in the company’s organizational chart. Collective leadership includes four factors, Open channels of communication.
    Flexible and less hierarchical structures
    Resources that can be shared
    Participatory decision-making
More decentralization and decentralization of power
Shared, democratic, scattered and other forms of distributed leadership can all be regarded a part of distributed leadership. Leaders can emerge and use their knowledge wherever they are on the organizational structure in a leadership style known as emergent leadership

  10. This article explains how managers must develop the necessary leadership skills while also shedding light on key leadership trends for effective market and economy development. Mr. Youness is correct, in my opinion, regarding how important coaching is for the success of any organization, whether you are the coach or the one being coached. It is also crucial to note that it is highly wise to consider new generations of passionate individuals who flourish in an environment of support and encouragement. Furthermore, we cannot deny that respecting diversity is critical in today’s leadership trends. I would also add that I believe both vertical and horizontal development are necessary; nevertheless, there is a strong focus on vertical development these days because we live in an unpredictable, ever-changing environment. Vertical development exists to enable people to use their experience in new and changing situations. We can’t talk about emerging leadership trends without including distributed leadership. It is essentially shared management, which means that decision-making shifts from one individual to a collective group, necessitating a massive organizational redesign.

It is very important to develop the right leadership capabilities in order to sustain the company’s presence in the market place. Leadership is important to achieve the goals and objectives of the company, as well as to insure the development and growth of the company.
Leadership is the art of influencing and motivating employees to give their best by being engaged in decision making and planning. Also to share their knowledge, skills, experience and talents with teammates in order to succeed as a team. Being ready to be coached is based on the idea of being a perpetual learner in order to stay up with current trends in one’s industry. This generation indeed is motivated to pursue education and professional development in order to expand work chances in a world economy beleaguered by several problems.
Because of these changing trends, a leader’s skills are more demanding in the sense of having more complex, adaptive thinking abilities and being vertically developed. 13. The article has nothing but valuable information regarding “leadership trends”; I really liked it because it made me more knowledgeable about the importance of leadership in an organization. Leadership entails more than just management and administration; it comprises the capacity to inspire collective effectiveness and encourage others. It also necessitates the capacity to comprehend and respond to an increasingly complicated environment. The environment in which organizations operate has changed and is continuously developing at a rapid pace. For that, this requires leaders to have a different and broader set of talents than in the past, with a higher emphasis on adaptability and the capacity to accept, comprehend, and respond to diversity. Furthermore, leaders must be willing to put in just as much time knowing the external environment in which they compete as they do managing the internal control and operational organizations. Consequently, because of the dynamic world, this new type of leadership has become an increasingly valuable resource for any organization hoping to remain ahead of the curve, or even just keep up with it.

The companies that take into consideration individual values and personal differences while creating an environment of shared responsibility create a place where people enjoy working more and become more productive. To talk in education, unfortunately, when someone works in any Lebanese private school as a teacher/coordinator/administrator only he takes a pension at the end of each month, no warranty no medication… Compared to the Gulf countries, which are witnessing a clear development in the educational field, when the professor applies to work, he is allocated medical care, compensation, annual plane tickets, housing, in addition to many services. In their view, all services must be provided to the worker in order to increase his productivity. In addition, they select teachers of different nationalities, different cultures… in my point of view that will lead to a productive and fruitful work. “Adding different flavors will give your food a delicious taste.”
Coach and be ready to be coached. As an example, many schools did courses to the teaching staffs how to use technology and online learning… after the forced closure due to the Corona pandemic.
I, as a teacher, always like feedbacks from school administration and students, especially negative ones, inwhich I can improve and close any gap in the teaching process.
Whatever someone degree in education is, life every day teaches new lessons, technology is a non-stop process, it is necessary to adapt to the developments taking place in order to keep pace with the developments of the times
I noticed that millennial generation are always creative in their work, they always look how they may improve their selves to be more productive and innovative, many workers in this generation are also students, for example, many of us in this course are teachers and administrators in schools or institutes… and we are improving our selves by getting higher education that will benefit us in our future career…
In the educational field, new teachers will benefit from the experience of old ones, in addition, students will benefit the most from a specific lesson, when their is a good planning and relation between the teacher and coordinator (usually more experienced), in addition to the strategies used in the 21st century (games, critical questions, videos, working in groups…). Democracy is essential element in working, as a leader or coordinator or administrator or manager… you should listen to all opinions and take into consideration the difference in opinions to create a fruitful work, successful and knowledgeable students.

  16. “Leadership Trends”, by Dr Hasan Youness, sheds light on the revolutionary skills that CEOs should be equipped with to massively transform their businesses and organizations, to sustain their presence in the marketplace and to contribute to the competitive advantage sought by corporations. The leadership skills highlighted in the article are delegation of authority; empowering; readiness to be coached; employing millennials; creating a diverse work environment; and adopting vertical development, ownership development and collective development.
To begin with, I think that how to delegate authority wisely and effectively is a good leadership quality. In fact, mindful delegation is crucial for maximizing productivity and team performance. And since leaders are the busiest persons in any organization, knowing when and how to delegate authority gives them more time to be done with the most important work. An essential factor to note here is that the ability of a leader to delegate is not limited to delegating tasks to others. It means being aware and conscious of who is endowed with the necessary skills and expertise that enable him/her to complete the task.
Empowerment, as I believe, is another significant leadership trait. That’s why Bill Gates stated that “as we look ahead to the next century, leaders will be those who empower others.” In reality, when great leaders empower their team members, the latter can achieve maximum productivity and organizational success. Empowering the team members gives them equal decision- making opportunities and uses their power of judgment and expertise to develop solutions. So, good leaders continuously unleash the positive assets of others, know how to foster their skills and strengthen the team by empowering its members.
Readiness to be coached, in my opinion, is also an important leadership characteristic. Good leaders cannot sit back and think, “I know what I need to know,” because what they know today is tomorrow’s obsolete. They always desire to develop and improve themselves. They are always open to learning new things and to broadening their spectrum through art, science and the constantly evolving technology. The reason behind their readiness to be coached is their inquisitiveness and their curiosity to invest themselves in various interests. This leadership characteristic helps them form a rational, a systematic and a strategic attitude towards any problem they suddenly face. Covid-19 has shown everyone the reality check. Many HR leaders failed to develop suitable strategies in response to the pandemic because nobody was prepared to respond to such uncertain situations.
Employing millennials is another demanding leadership skill. From my own point of view, I think millennials can change any business for the better and that is for a variety of reasons. Besides being motivated, highly-educated, and loyal, millennials are majorly digital savvy and they embrace technology. Most Millennials have grown up with the Internet and other high-tech advancement, and that’s why they are comfortable using them in their day-to-day lives. Being digital natives, they are in tune with all social media platforms. This means that millennials could magnify any company’s online presence, act as brand advocates of the company and ensure that any business maximizes the latest technology to increase its productivity, marketability and efficiency. Furthermore, millennials offer creative and innovative alternatives to processes, products, and functions. The fact that they use digital tools and technologies further helps them innovate naturally. For example, if your HRIS has an employee portal, millennial employees may be more comfortable using its mobile app or online employee portal than asking HR staff.
Creating a diverse work environment is a recommended leadership quality. Due to the growing globalization of today’s economy, I believe that achieving diversity in the workplace is a smart move to make. It should be noted here that a diversified workplace is more than the inclusion of employees of different genders, ethnicities and racial backgrounds. It is the inclusion of employees of different religions, cultures, languages, skills and educational backgrounds. Embracing diversity in the work environment will take any business to great heights. First, diversity produces creativity and innovation as different employees are endowed with different thinking patterns, perspectives and opinions. Second, diversity boosts productivity of business by 35% as research has found. That is because diversity enhances the employees’ morale, increases their desire to be moand urges them to work more effectively. Third, diversity targets a wider range of consumers. When employees are of varying backgrounds, languages, etc. they are able to connect with consumers from all walks of life, and the company can ensure to appeal to a wider target market. Fourth, diversity increases revenue. According to a recent study by the Boston Consulting Group, the results have proved that companies with a diverse workforce and increased innovation generated 19% more revenue than companies with lower diversity scores.
Adopting vertical development, ownership development and collective development is a major leadership quality a leader should be equipped with. Vertical development, in fact, focuses on helping leaders expand their mindset and on transforming the ways leaders think, which will impact what they do and how they behave. This kind of development elevates the thinking capacity of leaders to better navigate the complexity and uncertainty in our world. It also helps them become more adaptable, more self-aware and more collaborative. As for ownership development, it is one of the leader’s characteristics to give room to his employees to take ownership in the workplace. When given this chance, the employees will have equal decision- making opportunities, will use their powerful judgement and expertise to develop solutions, and will encourage them expand their skills. Thus, from a personal perspective, ownership development builds the sense of individual worth, maximizes the employees’ contributions and commitment to their company, and helps those employees excel in the work environment. Regarding collective development, its adoption is a great leadership trait. In reality, leadership is no longer a matter of monocracy, i.e. it is no longer thought of as an individual, but rather as a collaborative task. An innovative leader is responsible for creating a climate where every employee brings his/her skills, talents, ideas, experience and knowledge to the table that often find a route to flow. Here, through the leader’s guidance and motivation and an open style of communication, the employees feel appreciated and their potentials are released.
Last but not least, “Leadership Trends” by Dr Hasan Youness is an overview of the major traits that a leader should enjoy. Based on what is mentioned in the article, Dr Hasan states that delegation of authority; empowering; readiness to be coached; employing millennials; creating a diverse work environment; and adopting vertical development, ownership development and collective development are leadership skills that help businesses maximize their growth, guarantee their presence in the marketplace and contribute to the competitive advantage.

Secondly, the importance of adopting a collaborative mindset to get the commitment of millennial keeping in mind that they have the will to work hard besides being optimistic and creative.
In addition, emphasizing the importance of creating an inclusive workplace where employees representing all dimensions of diversity can thrive, innovate and produce.

This is indeed a remarkable article that summarizes key elements we should be aware of in a time of crisis, or as the author said, when dealing with “transformation in the market and the economy”. The transformation mentioned in the article reminded me of the Adaptive Challenges, central to the process of Adaptive Leadership. In fact, the latter are, as defined by Northouse (), “problems that are not clear-cut or easy to identify” and “cannot be solved by the leader’s authority or expertise or through the normal ways of doing things in the organization.” Thus, Leaders must inspire others to define difficult circumstances and develop solutions with their help. In order to do so, the Adaptive theorists believe the leader should briefly step away and try to observe the dynamics of the complex situation, allowing him to identify the nature of the challenge: technical-requires expertise and technical skills- or adaptive- require that people learn new ways of coping-. A challenge that requires change or adaptation is overwhelming, thus a leader must not only cope with uncertainty as the author said, but also help others recognize the need for change without being distressed. We can see at his point how the trends of being a “Coach and be ready to be coached”, “empowering” and promoting “Vertical development, ownership development, and collective development” are important and essential. As much as coping with change is crucial, encouraging people to focus on the tough work they need to do is of equal importance, that is why a leader must understand today’s generation and cherish the diversity present among the workforce, which can be better explained with the trends “Realize it is a millennial and Generation Z world” and “Create and leverage on a diverse work environment”.

They will be convinced only if they see that this leader is trustworthy and is able to give every employee his rights. In the marketplace, collaborative work and teams are so important to achieve a common goal or producing specific successful products. Coaching and preparing others to be coached is a great way to emphasize leader powers and empower others. Indeed, ensuring a diverse workplace paves the way for all employees to express their opinions and cooperate with teammates. Moreover, employees are able to develop when they feel responsible. So leaders should distribute hard tasks that encourage employees but not incapacitate tasks that lead to their burnout.

Also, they need to receive a collaborative mentality to urge the commitment of millennial and Generation Z cohorts. The ability of a leader to set a clear vision and set smart objectives towards a visionary goal in a rapidly changing world is a strength that few leaders have. Transformational leadership is becoming a must due to fast shifts that are taking place in markets; furthermore, leaders should be open to change as they should be willing to delegate work and make use of all the unique differences that can be valuable diverse resources enriching the outcome of any business.
In addition to all the valuable information that has been presented in this article, I believe that leaders should have tolerance and openness to take intelligent risks. They should be talented in triggering hidden potential and assigning the roles smartly by inspiring participation and giving authority to team members, which will be attained through a leader’s complex and adaptive thinking abilities.

Employees should be prepared to become leaders. Employees should always be provided with trainings and opportunities for knowledge and experiences that should develop in proportion and in pace with the advancement in the demands of their work field. They should also be up-to-date with the changing work environment and technological advancements which are necessary to ensure chances of employment in a rapidly changing world. Also, encouraging diversity in the workplace based on the EACH mindset creates an environment where the workers have a feeling of belonging and encouragement to tackle greater responsibilities. Moreover, the different forms of development (vertical, ownership and collective) are a mixture of developing the person’s abilities, unique skills, talents, experience and knowledge and investing them in order to feel responsible and as a participant and partaker in the development of the company.

In an ever-changing world, the leader must understand the needs of the market and create a strategic plan based on communication with others. And as was mentioned above, communication is a vital tool that can let employees express their innovative ideas and be involved in decision making, instead of just giving them demands. Employee voice provides more innovation, productivity and as a result, organizational success. Also, creating a positive environment where diversity between employees is appreciated and supported improves the feeling of belonging and being comfortable! Hence, the practice of leadership is a multi-directional process that if done right, right things will follow.

To be an effective leader, this journey needs many qualities and updated steps because the innate traits are not enough in that position but also needs to acquire specific skills, knowledge and attitudes. A culture of creativity and innovation will take in an organization when the leader thinks strategically through forming one strategic vision , share and communicate the vision with every member of the team , the leader has to model this vision through his actions , and work hard collaboratively to build a commitment to this vision. Employees need to feel supported and protected by their company so coaching and training is a very suitable way to show them this support and make them feel more valued. Impact reflects the leadership process, not only the leader’s influence on followers, as many writers have described it, but also the interactive appeal between the leader and the followers. Although leadership is an evolving idea, it may be adequately defined as “the process of interactive influence that occurs when certain individuals choose someone as their leader to achieve common goals in a specific setting.”This description appears to be in line with the current understanding of leadership, which emphasizes the importance of the leader, followers, and context in the leadership process.
