“I want you all present here, now, to know that a new day is on the horizon! And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room today, and some phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say “Me too” again.”

Your excellencies, our partners in today’s event, SDG national leaders, esteemed guests, president of GCNL Dr. Dima Jamali! Oprah’s speech during the golden globe award couldn’t have been better said while addressing the super stars of the entertainment industry. Under one ceiling today, I see those magnificent women and phenomenal men whose stardom outshines everyone else and whose impact won’t make women say me too again!

To mark International Women’s Day on 8 March, more than 80 stock exchanges will participate in the international ‘Ring the Bell’ campaign to raise awareness about the business case for women’s economic empowerment and to highlight opportunities for business and financial markets to advance gender equality and sustainable development. We are joining this initiative and ringing the bell for gender equality because we need everyone, including stock exchanges and companies everywhere, to take concrete actions in order to empower women in business because discrimination is Discrimination is holding the world back economically and socially.

Your impact is contributing to countering the fact that this is a man’s world where we realize that the world would be nothing, nothing, not one little thing without a woman or a girl. We as men would be lost in the wilderness, we’d be lost in bitterness without women. Women who have bills to pay, kids to feed and dreams to pursue.

Being more expressive and genuine requires shifting to my mother language for a minute…I Like the fact that we feminize the language to make it more genuine…mother language..

نحن اليوم نحتفل بالمرأة التي اضطهدت لعقود خلت وهي تحترف كافة المهن حد الاتقان فهي المرأة الفلاحة, المربية, عاملة المنزل, النادلة, المحامية, الطبيبة, رائدة العمل, المديرة التنفيذية, الباحثة في التحول الرقمي, المعلمة وهي كل ذلك وأكثر…هي المتفرّدة بلقب الأمومة…هي الأمّ

هي النصف وتنجب النصف الأخرهي نصفنا الافضل هي الهادئة قبل العاصفة ولكن قد تكون العاصفة بذاتها.. هي الصبورة كأيوب يكفي أنها تتحملنا كرجال ولكنها قد تنقجر كبركان ,هي العذبة كنسمة, الرقيقة كهمسة, المثيرة كمرأة , الصافية كعين الديك ولكن قد تكون لاذعة كحقل بهار فحذاري يا رجل

فلنقرع جرس المساواة قبل أن يُدَق ناقوس الخطر
